I reached out to Michelle and was upfront with her that I was looking to buy a property from my landlord that I was currently renting and that I wasn't going to use a realtor for. I needed help with comps in the area to be able to start my negotiations. Within a few days she provided a very detailed and extremely professional comps report for me which truly educated me on the specific area of Scotch Plains that I am looking to buy in. I can't say enough about Michelle's professionalism, warm personality which came through even exchanging emails, and her extensive knowledge. The morning she was to send me the report, another home on the street I am looking to buy on closed and she promptly edited it to give the comps report even more breadth. A phenomenal real estate agent! She tries her best to find what's best for you. In my case, I had to find a rental house at the end of the year after Christmas where many people are absent. It's probably the worst time to do real estate business. But she tried to find the best option for me even in the weekend or on holidays out of compassion due to the urgency of my situation. I am a new to the area and Michelle was assigned to me through my relocation company. Navigating through this tough and challenging seller’s market, she was the one gave me a hope that there was a light at this tunnel! I was often frustrated as the market inventory was so limited while my time was ticking. But Michelle was very responsive whenever I bombarded her with lots of emails and questions in the middle of the night, and knew how to calm me down. She knows about the area so well and soon after we went through my “wish list”, she immediately got it. At one point, I felt pressured and frustrated, and had a thought of buying a house bigger than what I needed. Michelle calmly talked me out of it. Also she knows what to look in a house and what to avoid. She never lose her calm and it was very comfortable for me to share my thoughts with her and seek her feedback. Michelle did an outstanding job assisting us from soup to nuts on the complex route of exclusively listing our home, selling it so we didn't have to stage or list on MLS but really tailored to our request so we could remain comfortable in our home while finding a buyer. She knows EVERYTHING from resources to important regulations and rules and is an expert negotiator. She additionally assisted us with the purchase of our new property (highly recommend getting a seasoned broker to represent you with new construction communities!) The builder pays the realtor fees but Michelle helped negotiate and make sure we were well taken care of from start to finish! Michelle was very knowledgeable and helped us get on the right track to what started out as a very wide ranging search. She sent us plenty of targeted listings every day and we were able to give feedback on each that helped tailor future listings to work best for us, which was incredibly useful to speed up the search process. When it came time to actually see houses in person, she was very open and honest when it came to feedback from our tours, helping guide us with considering what to look for in our future home. We had looked at the house we eventually bought on two separate occasions, spending multiple hours there each time. This did not bother Michelle in the slightest as she wanted to make sure we had every chance to consider everything in the house so we could make an informed decision. At no point did she try to rush us or conceal anything to just get us to settle, which was greatly appreciated. As we moved towards closing, Michelle was always there to answer any questions or help us with anything we needed along the way to make the process as smooth as possible. We prepared the house ahead of the sale and she was a great resource finding contractors to take care of things including a very affordable and professional stager. We initially thought that the ask price was a bit to optimistic after the open house had only few visitors but were proofed wrong when we sold the house above asking within less than a month.
